Abstract

FRIGOTTO, Gaudencio; DICKMANN, Ivo  and  PERTUZATTI, Ieda. Integrated curriculum, technical medium education and common curricular national base: interview with Frigotto Gaudêncio. e-Curriculum [online]. 2017, vol.15, n.3, pp.871-884. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2017v15i3p871-884.

Teacher Gaudêncio Frigotto, from the State University of Rio de Janeiro and the Federal Fluminense University, is one of the most eminent educators of Brazil and Latin American actuality. His studies on the relationship education and work are a reference in the field of basic education and curriculum policies. This interview, held in Chapecó-SC, discusses the most current curricular issues of brazilian education: technical and integral secondary education and the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC). His speech reinforces his positions on the responsibility of the public school to build an all-round human being through an integrated and integral curriculum and presents his critique of the construction process of the BNCC, which is turned upside down for being eminently conservative, restrictive and penalizing the school to the detriment of private schools. Finally, in a prophetic tone, in analyzing the brazilian educational scene after a parliamentary coup d'état, teacher Frigotto announces the in clemencies that would come to fruition with the reform of secondary education via provisional measure 746/2016 and PEC 241/2016.
