Abstract

MACEDO, Roberto Sidnei. The ethnoconstitutive theory of the curriculum and curricular research: epistemological, methodological and heuristic-educational configurations. e-Curriculum [online]. 2018, vol.16, n.1, pp.190-212. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2018v16i1p190-212.

This article introduces the main conceptual ideas of the Ethnoconstitutive Theory of the Curriculum and relates them to specific curriculum research. The uniqueness of this theoretical approach, which was conceived as a curricular/educational action-theory, lies in the way in which the ideas enshrined in it came into being and provide a foundation for curriculum research. The ideas discussed here originated in intercritical curricular and educational studies, research and interventions carried out and implemented by researchers in conceptually generative curricular and educational scenarios. It is in these scenarios that ethnomethods instituting curricular knowing-doing gare intertwined in contexts in which the assertion of difference becomes heuristically pivotal, and it is in this heuristic dynamic that curriculum ethnoresearch is developed along with its theoretical inspirations and epistemological, methodological and politico-educational options.

Keywords : Curriculum; Ethnoconstitutive Theory; Ethnoresearch.
