Abstract

SILVA, Claudia Sebastiana Rosa da  and  PORTILHO, Evelise Maria Labatut. SCHOOL CULTURE, CONTINUING EDUCATION AND TEACHING STRATEGIES. e-Curriculum [online]. 2018, vol.16, n.3, pp.911-933. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2018v16i3p911-933.

The purpose of this paper is to present the elements of school culture present in the education and enactment of teachers from an Elementary School institution. The research of hermeneutical phenomenological focus counted on 10 teachers involved in a continuing education program. It was noticed that the changes in school culture at this institution occur slowly, perhaps due to its current provisional status, and, furthermore, there is a gap between verbalization and pedagogical practice and lack of planning involving interactive teaching strategies. The research highlighted the importance of critical and reflective continuing education of teachers, involving the development of teaching strategies that maximize students’ learning.
