Abstract

GONCALVES, Rita  and  LOUREIRO, Maria João. INTERACTION AND QUESTIONING IN A SOCIAL NETWORK: A STUDY IN THE CONTEXT OF A PROFESSIONAL INTERSHIP IN A TECHNOLOGICAL COURSE. e-Curriculum [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.1, pp.28-50.  Epub Aug 05, 2019. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2019v17i1p28-50.

The use of Web 2.0 tools is becoming more common nowadays, being considered a technology at the service of all Internet users that makes possible the creation and sharing of information. However, their use as tools that enhance questioning and interaction, in professional internship situations of students of technological courses, dispersed in several companies, is not reported in the literature. The qualitative and case study research that originated this article intended to bridge this gap. It was analyzed to what extent the use of a network (NING), explored in the aforementioned context and in the 12th year of a Technological Course, enhanced interaction and questioning. The social network was explored to promote mutual aid between the students, the teacher / supervisor and the monitors, to solve emerging problems related to the practice and to facilitate the closest students support. The social network records were subject to content analysis. The results suggest that the social network was used to ask questions and provide answers and clues. There were also social interactions, for example, about academic life or personal issues. The analysis also indicates that the students asked questions emerging from real problems, arising from the activities developed during the internship (professional relevant questions), and academic, mainly closed. Although the results of the presented study cannot be generalized, it is considered that the explored strategies, as well as the assessment (content analysis) tools, can be inspiring / adapted in research with similar objectives.
