Abstract

In this paper, we present results of documentary and bibliographical research which aims at analyzing the educational projects of Owenites, British Chartists and the Movement of Landless Rural Workers (MST) of Brazil. The main objective of the study was to verify if there are transcendent and common educational propositions among these social movements. It was verified that there are common principles, such as: a) preparation and implementation of an own educational project; b) criticism and / or denial of official state education; c) implementation of democratic management in the associations and schools of movements; d) formation of their own educators; e) articulation between education and productive work. The principles are part of the educational projects of the studied movements, contribute to the technical and scientific formation of its members and to a propagation of a world perspective concerning the working class.
