Abstract

CAVALCANTE, Janayna. YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION IN THE POST-DEMOCRATIC ORDER: DISAPPEARANCE OF THE MODALITY AND INSTITUCIONAL INVIBILITY. e-Curriculum [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.3, pp.1123-1143.  Epub Oct 28, 2019. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2019v17i3p1123-1143.

The text discusses the conditions for the existence of curricular policies for Youth and Adult Education (EJA in Portuguese) in the context identified as post-democratic order in Brazil. The analysis of an archaeogenealogical approach runs through two processes: the institutional extinction of the specific sector for EJA within the administrative reform of the Ministry of Education, and the silencing of the notion of educational modality in the published text of the Common National Curricular Base. Considered as expressions of institutional and curricular abandonment, it is concluded that such processes articulate the production of modes of political disappearance of EJA.
