Abstract

PIETRI, Emerson de. TWO MODES OF TREATMENT OF LINGUISTIC HETEROGENEITY IN BRAZIL IN OFFICIAL CURRICULUM GUIDES. e-Curriculum [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.3, pp.1349-1372.  Epub Oct 28, 2019. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2019v17i3p1349-1372.

Pedagogical proposals for the treatment of linguistic heterogeneity are observed in official curriculum guides for the teaching of Portuguese in Brazilian schools. The documents of the corpus were produced and published in different moments of the country's recent history - the 1980s and 1990s - and are representative of discursive formations competing in their social, economic, political and ideological basis. The production and analysis of the data were based on concepts developed by discourse studies and characterized the traduction processes, from one of the competing discourses to the other, of concepts and conceptions of language, subject and teaching. The results show that inequality in the distribution of linguistic goods, and their implications for teaching practices guided by principles of social justice, is affirmed or denegated as a result of the value attributed to historicity in one or the other of the discourses analyzed.

Keywords : Linguistic heterogeneity; Curriculum; Portuguese teaching; Discourse analysis.
