Abstract

This text analyzes the Brazilian academic production that, between 2009 and 2018, investigated the theme of the curriculum for Early Childhood Education institutions. During this period, ten articles were found published in Qualis A1 and A2 journals of the educational field - corpus of analysis that, after being studied, was grouped into the following categories: children’s contributions to the curriculum of Early Childhood Education; curriculum policy analysis in daycare centers and preschools; and theoretical, historical and/or literature reviews. On the one hand, the analysis showed that the articles consider the organization of the curriculum by fields of experience as a curricular arrangement that respects the specificities of the institutions that make up the first stage of Basic Education. On the other hand, the production presents tensions and dispersions that highlight aspects still little explored in the organization of the curriculum for daycare centers and preschools.
