This article aims to study the compulsory curricular stage called Pedagogical Residence Program. This innovative experience of internship is based on the close and constant dialogue with the public education system and the principle of professional immersion in early childhood education institutions,for an uninterrupted period of time, experiencing the unity between theory and practice. Through documentary analysis it takes as a source the documentation of the Unifesp Pedagogical Residency Program and the reports produced by the students. The text presents the potential of the Program in giving visibility to children, respecting them as subjects of rights and in a reflective-emancipatory curriculum formation of the future teacher of young children.
