Abstract

BROCHADO, Eliana Alice  and  HORNINK, Gabriel Gerber. SCRATCH: REAL POSSIBILITIES FOR TEXTUAL PRODUCTION IN A FORMAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT?. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.1, pp.104-128.  Epub May 10, 2021. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2021v19i1p104-128.

This work, whose objective was to understand how students acquire Digital Narratives, presents results of an investigation related to the use of a programming language Scratch in Portuguese language classes. The theoretical support was based on the social and cultural principles of J. Wertsch and the New Literacy Studies. We rely on the case study method, being a unique case of an exploratory and descriptive character for the production of our data. To do this, we used the following techniques: participative observation, with notes in a research journal, questionnaire and analysis of physical artifacts. The subjects were 26 students from the second cycle of Elementary School in a public institution of Minas Gerais State. Among the research findings, we obtained evidence that Scratch can favor, in a playful and usual way, the text production, as well as enhance real situations for such work.
