Abstract

GIMENEZ, Fabiana Veronez Martelato  and  GIMENIZ-PASCHOAL, Sandra Regina. ACCIDENT AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION IN NURSING CURRICULUMS IN SÃO PAULO STATE. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.1, pp.197-218.  Epub May 10, 2021. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2021v19i1p197-218.

The aim of this study was to investigate in the curricula of Nursing courses in São Paulo State the presence of a description of accident and / or violence prevention themes. Pedagogical political projects, menus and / or curricular matrices of 130 faculties were analyzed. It was found that 20 (15.4%) colleges, 5 public and 15 private, had subjects related to the themes, with accidents prevailing, in subjects that were related to the health of women, children, the elderly, public and workers; even determined by Ordinance, 119 (91,%) colleges did not provide the Pedagogical Political Project. It was concluded that few colleges specify the themes in their curricula, suggesting that they have to be detailed and applied in various disciplines and / or stages, in a transversal way, in a process of integral and interdisciplinary training, with socialization, as well as the pedagogical political projects.
