Abstract

CARVALHO, Carla Maria Nogueira de; BRANCO, Juliana Cordeiro Soares  and  ALMEIDA, Larissa Costa de. PEDAGOGY: REVISITING THE SCHOOL TRAINING. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.3, pp.969-987.  Epub Dec 17, 2021. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2021v19i3p969-987.

The present article reports research that, through the graduates’ eyes, investigated the syllabus of a Pedagogy course, interrelating the relevance of the acquired school training to the needs experienced in professional practice, as well as aimed to identify the degree of adequacy of the experienced syllabus with the demands of the labor market. The research methodology, bearing a quali- quantitative approach plus an interpretative characteristic, used a questionnaire and semi-structured interview. It was observed that the teacher training environment is a space of multiple trends and, therefore, of multiple references. A space where knowledge is sometimes either fragmented and disjointed, or articulated and looking for alternatives that point to a new pedagogical relationship and greater coherence with the needs of professional practice and labor demands, as it was found to be the context of the researched Pedagogy course.
