Abstract

PAULA, Rosiana da Silva Novaes de  and  KELLER-FRANCO, Elize. ANOTHER PROJECT, ANOTHER SCHOOL: OTHER CURRICULAR KNOWLEDGE-PRACTICES. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.3, pp.1198-1221.  Epub Dec 17, 2021. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2021v19i3p1198-1221.

The present study aimed to analyze an alternative educational proposal, with the question of investigating to what extent the experience in progress brings elements for a curricular innovation in Basic Education. The research with a qualitative approach adopted the Case Study as methodology. The research instruments consisted of observation, document analysis and semi-structured interview. The results indicate that the proposal presents changes in a set of aspects considered a priority for curricular innovation. The ongoing curriculum agrees with critical curricular theories and the integrated curricular approach, with repercussions on overcoming two fronts that have remained intact in the hegemonic curriculum: class subjects and grade system set up. The research also pointed out that curricular innovation is marked by complexity, but not overcome by the possibility of conceiving and building a new school, a new education and a new curriculum.
