Abstract

ARAUJO, Stephane Silva de; STEFAN, Guilherme  and  LEITE, Maria Cecilia Lorea. “BE FAIR, ACCORDING TO MY REFLECTION AND SIMILARITY”: IMAGES OF JUSTICE AND LEGAL SENSITIVITIES IN A UNIVERSITY CURRICULUM. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.3, pp.1287-1315.  Epub Dec 17, 2021. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2021v19i3p1287-1315.

The teacher training of professionals working in the Law course inspired the discussion that, developed within the scope of a research funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq, problematizes pedagogical and curricular aspects from the analysis of drawings designed by university professors. In this article, an Image of Justice produced by a professor of a Law course is analyzed, seeking to understand potentialized legal sensitivities in the curricular context. The methodology developed is based on an iconological analysis, according to the Documentary Method of Interpretation (BOHNSACK, 2007), and on theories about the meanings of justice, according to its institutions and local context (GEERTZ, 1997). The meanings expressed in a visual register are problematized, especially the probable normalization processes present in the curriculum of a legal course, to which future bachelors and justice operators are exposed.

Keywords : Images of justice; Legal sensitivities; Law course; Curriculum; Teacher training.
