This article aims to discuss the relationships established between the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the elements that involve the theme of diversity in different contexts, analyzing how it is presented in that document, as well as the implications for everyday school life. This is a qualitative study, carried out through a qualitative bibliographic survey and documentary analysis, which, among the final considerations, observed the need for diversity to have greater prominence and depth of conceptualization in the BNCC and that of a country with cultural and regional dimensions like Brazil, which has several educational realities, can be considered in the elaboration of public educational policies.
