Abstract

TAVARES, Renato Vitor da Silva  and  FUMES, Neiza de Lourdes Frederico. Adapted Physical Activity in the Physical Education’s curricula of northeastern public universities. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.4, pp.1813-1836.  Epub Apr 12, 2022. Considering the incipience of studies related to the inclusion of contents about Adapted Physical Activity (APA) in the initial formation in Physical Education and seeking to build a panorama on the theme in these curricula, this study aimed to analyze the disciplines of APA in the Pedagogical Projects of Physical Education Courses of northeastern public universities. It was used documentary research, were identify 80 courses, but only 30 projects were available. After analyzing the curricula, it was possible to verify 43 specific disciplines to the APA, with 11 courses offering more than one discipline. There was an evolution in the number of disciplines, although there is a need for transversality of this theme throughout the curriculum, ensuring the infusion of the contents of the APA throughout the curriculum. It is believed that this model will guarantee initial formation aimed at the inclusion of the public with disabilities in different educational contexts.
