HORACIO, Heiberle Hirsgberg. Indigenous Literature and Knowledge Regimes:. e-Curriculum [online]. 2022, vol.20, n.1, pp.262-278. Epub 06-Maio-2022. ISSN 1809-3876. https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2022v20i1p262-278.
This article aims to present the necessary understanding of the indissociability between Indigenous Literature and Indigenous Knowledge Regimes for carrying out activities in non-indigenous schools, in compliance with Law 11.645/2008, which includes “in the official curriculum of the education network the mandatory nature of the theme History and Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Culture”. The problem that guides it is related to a certain conception that mobilizes indigenous literature in a “watertight way” and disregarding the specific dynamics that the literatures of these peoples have, neglecting their diversities and their differences, especially with regard to certain non-indigenous literatures. The article was built from readings of references from different areas, but, mainly, from the relationship of the author of this article with indigenous literature and teachers, especially Xakriabá teachers and works.
