Abstract

The article results from a systematic literature review prepared through qualitative meta-synthesis, which seeks to present the state of the art of the integration of information and communication technologies in the initial training of Portuguese teachers between the years 1998-2019. In the analysed studies, the following were elected as focus: the objectives, the methodology, the collected data, and the conclusions. The results reached allowed concluding that the qualitative methodology predominates in research in this area of knowledge, involving a reduced number of participants in the developed studies. About the integration of technologies in initial teacher education, aspects of retrocession and stagnation are revealed in greater proportion, facing a limited advance in the change of postures of higher education teachers about the importance of technologies in the training of future teachers.
