Abstract

MAIA, Júlio César  and  SACARDO, Michele Silva. “Post-criticism” or critical theory updating?:. e-Curriculum [online]. 2022, vol.20, n.2, pp.589-610.  Epub Nov 21, 2022. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2022v20i2p589-610.

From the conflict of curriculum trends associated with the “postmodern discourse”, whose hegemony indicates the critical curriculum theory exhaustion, this bibliographic study presents its scientific relevance. It aims to debate and analyze the importance of the critical theories resumption around curriculum studies. Presents the disharmony between tendencies allied to the “postmodern discourse” and shows, as a conclusive synthesis effort, reflections interested in the criticism of the “post-critical” and hybrid curriculum theories (based on the Tomaz Tadeu da Silva [1948- current], Peter McLaren [1948-current] and Antonio Flavio Barbosa Moreira [1945-current] ideas), as well in recovering the critical reflections particularity in the curriculum field (under the Michael Young's studies [1935?-current]).

Keywords : curriculum; post-critical curriculum theories; hybrid curriculum theories; critical curriculum theories.
