Didactic Books (LDs) and the like transmit not only facts, but also spread ideologies, following the political tendencies of the ruling class. It is common to find in its pages limited and isolated elements of the history and culture of disadvantaged groups. Thus, the objective of this work is to carry out a critical/reflexive analysis about the contents inserted in the LDs on indigenous peoples. The bibliographic and documentary approach was chosen to support and compose the itinerary of the article. In general, the study revealed that LDs can carry content that depreciates and inferiors indigenous peoples.

Palabras clave : textbook; Indian people; ideologies.
