Abstract

ARNDT, Klalter Bez Fontana  and  CRUZ, Dulce Márcia. Media literacy in the Pedagogy curriculum and teaching experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e61651.  Epub Nov 13, 2023. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2023v21e61651.

In this article, we present an excerpt from doctoral research that, among its objectives, sought to identify the elements of training for the media in the curriculum of three Pedagogy courses at two public universities in the state of Santa Catarina, in contrast to the reports of the teaching experiences of a group of pedagogues, between 2020 and 2022, collected in three online questionnaires and conversation circles. The analyzes were supported by studies of media education, media literacy and teacher identity. In general, the results indicated that the media still do not constitute an important axis in the initial training of pedagogues. And that, although the curriculum includes disciplines on media, these are still isolated. Finally, the studies showed us that this training for the media requires a transversality and a contextualization with the locus of the pedagogue's performance.
