Abstract

DANS ALVAREZ DE SOTOMAYOR, Isabel. Generation Z:. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e60933.  Epub Nov 13, 2023. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2023v21e60933.

Generation Z has used technology since childhood in their daily lives. Since 2020, a digital change is supposed to affect future teachers in their digital teaching competence. For this reason, the phenomenon of digital education is studied in a group of first-year university students of the Early Childhood Education degree in initial training through an ad hoc designed questionnaire. The profile obtained reveals that the use of technologies is still mainly for leisure and it is the technical skills that produce the greatest insecurity. It is proposed to continue supporting teacher professional development from all areas.

Keywords : digital education; teacher trainning; digital competence; curriculum.
