Distance Learning in Brazil has quantitatively enabled the training process of teachers. However, scientific discussions that contextualize this epistemological field are still timid. In this sense, this article aims to reflect on Distance Learning as a technological process and social rupture in teacher training. To do so, we followed a bibliographical analysis, based on the authors considerations who relate this education as a technological and social rupture. The results point to the need both for follow-up and structural investment in face of the reality of the Brazilian citizen, and for differentiated practices in which they can carry out the reflective learning of students of Degree Courses.

Keywords : distance learning; teacher training; technologies.
