Abstract

SUAREZ, Daniel Hugo. The pedagogical turn in the Curriculum, training and the profession of teaching: experiences, principles and inspirations with narrative research in education. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e60011.  Epub June 30, 2023. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2023v21e60011.

This essay takes up some of the discussions and developments presented at the 1st Encontro de Giro. Ciclo de Conversas Internacionais em Torno das Narrativas nas Pesquisas e na Formação. On that occasion, I narrated and problematised part of my trajectory in the field of narrative research in education, the founding principles of my work and the inspirations it provoked in me. Without renouncing the conversational tone of that presentation, in this text I intend to project them onto a wider field of questions that may have resonances for curriculum studies. To this end, I recreate two liminal stories of my academic and political experience with the narrative documentation of pedagogical experiences and explore some of their potentialities to account for the intersection between narrative research, curriculum in action, teacher training and pedagogy in Argentina.

Keywords : narrative research; curriculum in action; educational experience; teacher training; narrative documentation.
