In this paper, the curricula of Physical Education undergraduate teaching training degree in the in-person modality of public and private Higher Education Institutions in the State of Tocantins/Brazil, are analyzed, based on the syllabuses and bibliographies of subjects related to Early Childhood Education. Thus, it is a documentary investigation. The Iramuteq software was adopted for data processing, from the Word Cloud and Similitude Analysis, which were examined in dialog with the legal-pedagogical documents of Early Childhood Education and with authors who discuss the relationship of Physical Education based on the Sociology of Childhood. The results show that training moves towards a directive teaching, centered on the figure of the teacher, in which the focus of the teaching-learning processes resides in the physical-motor dimension of children, moving away from the perspective advocated in the literature and official documents.
