Abstract

ESPERANCA, Angelo Cabral; SILVA, Iolete Ribeiro da  and  GOMES, Fábio Alves. The school trajectories of Amazonian LGBTQIA+ subjects: critical possibilities for teacher education. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e58972.  Epub Aug 15, 2023. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2023v21e58972.

The article identifies the critical possibilities of teacher education from the narratives of school and educational trajectories of Amazonian LGBTQIA+ persons. Twenty-two LGBTQIA+ subjects participated in the research through semi-structured interviews. The study is empirical, with a qualitative approach. The historical-dialectical materialism and social-historical psychology constitute the theoretical-methodological assumptions. The information produced allowed the thematic nuclei, examined through discourse analysis. In conclusion, it is necessary to have an initial and continued teacher training, which constitutes a sensitive listening to the students as an inalienable principle in the human rights affirmation, in the fight against LGBTQIA+phobia, and in the promotion of political and human emancipation of the diversity subjects.

Keywords : narratives; LGBTQIA+; teacher education; Amazonas.
