Scientific initiation has its transforming role as it introduces scientific practice into everyday school life. Given this, this article questions how the Amazonian educational reality is contemplated with the perspective of teaching with research. Thus, the objective of this article is to evidence the implementation and scope of the Science in School Program (PCE) and the diffusion of scientific initiation in public schools of Amazonas. To this end, we used bibliographic research, anchored in Demo's thoughts; Pear tree; Lüdke; Gonzaga, among others; and documental, through public notices and results of selections published by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Amazonas (Fapeam). The program challenges the Amazonian limits, reaching the most distant schools and realities to awaken and establish the scientific vocation in the most diverse areas of knowledge.
