Abstract

MYRRHA, Paula  and  SALES, Shirlei. Colorful Teacher in the Rainbow Curriculum:. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e54859.  Epub Oct 16, 2023. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2023v21e54859.

This article presents part of the results of a research that aimed to understand the effects of the antigender offensive on the production of docent subjectivities of an Early Childhood Education school. The theoretical framework is composed by authors such as Judith Butler, Michel Foucault and by concepts of the post-critical curricular studies. The methodology was composed by the discourse analysis based on Foucault and semi-structured interviews. Here we analyze the type of teacher produced in the rainbow curriculum: the colorful docent subjectivity, which is marked by permitting the children’s freedom in their ways of experiencing gender, destabilizing gender norms and fighting gender inequality. This production occurs by the prescription of knowledges: gender is a personal construction and gender is a social and historical construction.

Keywords : rainbow curriculum; antigender offensive; docent subjectivity; early childhood education.
