This study aims to investigate the relationship between teacher education and the practice of teachers who work with the Life Project discipline that is part of the new high school curriculum in Maranhão. Therefore, it is based on a theoretical framework on Teacher Education, through authors such as Imbernón (2011), Pimenta (1997), Tardif (2014) among others. This is a qualitative-quantitative and exploratory field research, carried out through an online form (Google Forms), in which the results indicate that there is a big variety in the initial training of teachers who work in the discipline, and demonstrate that the (a)s participants are divided between those who see positive contributions from their training and those who did not find a relationship between the Life Project discipline and their training, basing your practice on experience.
