Abstract

BORGES, Adilson de Souza  and  DELGADO, Ana Cristina Coll. The contributions of the epistemology of practice to research at ANPEd on teacher education in the past 10 years. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e51753.  Epub Dec 15, 2023. This study aims to understand the contributions of Maurice Tardif’s epistemology of professional practice to research at ANPEd on teacher education published in the last 10 years. Through a qualitative approach (Bogdan; Biklen, 1994), we first discuss research on teacher education in Brazil. Next, we present the theoretical and methodological perspectives arising from the epistemology of professional practice. Finally, based on content analysis (Bardin, 1977), we expose the process of constitution and analysis of the empirical material. The results shows that the epistemology of professional practice contributes significantly to research on teacher education, especially when it comes to studies focusing on teaching knowledge and teaching work, the construction of professional identity, professionalization and the teaching profession, etc.

Keywords : teacher training; Maurice Tardif; epistemology of professional practice; teaching knowledge; ANPEd.
