RODRIGUES, Diego Adaylano Monteiro  and  CARNEIRO, Claudia Christina Bravo e Sá. Narratives about the factors that influence curriculum decisions in the subject of biology. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e59661.  Epub Feb 26, 2024. The aim of this study is to understand the factors that promoted changes in curricular decisions and practices along the trajectory of Biology teachers at Liceu do Ceará, between 1992 and 2009. This is a qualitative research, which relates documental and oral sources and to use narrative interviews with retired biology teachers. The research was supported by Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA). The curricular decisions were constructed based on available teaching resources, as well as on the autonomy of the collective of this school, on the inspiration of formative experiences, on the search for professional valorization and on the tests to Higher Education. The official curricula were co-adjuncts, they only provided the bureaucratic construction of teaching plans and the discussion of new concepts in the school curriculum.

Keywords : curriculum history; biology curriculum; narratives.
