The text presents the Thematic Issue A BNC-Formação in the scenario of reopening of the political debate in Brazil as a set of critical reflections on curricular control policies. The Edition is the result of a partnership between Revista e-Curriculum (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC/SP) and the Brazilian Curriculum Association (ABdC) and problematizes neoliberal and ultraconservative logics in the proposal to align teacher training with Common National Curriculum Base for basic education. The initial section highlights the reiteration of these logics in the recent approval of National Curricular Guidelines for training. The second section emphasizes the area's struggle to reconstitute politics in response to plural demands, sensitive to the public nature of teaching, highlighting the articles in the Edition as part of a militant action by researchers, entities and organized movements.
Keywords : BNC-Teacher Training; initial and continuing training policy; openness to debate.
