This article reflects on the modes of subjectivation operating in the discourses of Life Project textbooks, through which ways of being tied to the advancement of a neoliberal rationality in curricula may be constituted. First, a theoretical framework is outlined that engages with debates on the impacts of neoliberalism and human capital theory in education, drawing on the works of Foucault and Laval. Next, based on this framework, six Life Project textbooks published by Moderna are analyzed. The results suggest that the modes of subjectivation at work in these discourses lead to forms of being self-entrepreneurial subjects-willing to constantly update themselves, capable of recognizing their skills and knowledge, and mobilizing them according to the demands of the labor market.
