The objective of this article is to analyze the organization of the History of Education discipline in the Pedagogy course at the State University of Londrina (UEL) from 2005 to 2018. The study is based on research in history (Luca, 2021) and the history of school subjects (Chervel, 1990; Viñao Frago, 2008; Warde, 1998). As empirical sources, the pedagogical projects and teaching programs of the Pedagogy course at UEL, approved between 2005 and 2018, were examined, justifying the historical periodization as they had not yet been analyzed by the historiography of education. On the one hand, it was possible to observe a reduction in the discipline’s workload within the curricular organization; on the other hand, there was an increase in the amount of content to be taught. The discipline has advanced in the development of its syllabus and historiographical approaches, challenging both faculty and students to reflect on teaching with historicity.
