Abstract

RISSO, Helli Faria Ferreira; MOYA-MATA, Irene  and  PIMENTEL, Giuliano Gomes de Assis. The adventure curricular treatment in Brazil and Spain. e-Curriculum [online]. 2025, vol.23, e65696.  Epub Aug 11, 2025. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2025v23e65696.

The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) introduced Adventure Body Practices (PCA) as a structuring content of school Physical Education (PE) in Elementary School II. In Spain, this knowledge already has a legacy in the school curriculum, especially given its link to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, the meaning of PCA in the BNCC has not yet been elucidated, which made us understand the differences in the operationalization and justification of teaching PCA. The study was documentary, from a hermeneutic perspective, interpreting documents proposed for the teaching staff, with national (Brazil x Spain) and regional (Paraná x Valencia) coverage. While in Brazil, there is a fixation of practices to be made visible and distributed by series, the Spanish curricular model favors teaching autonomy and highlights local activities.
