The faculty members who constitute the Research Line Public Policies, Educational and Curricular Reforms are the authors of the article “50 Years of Resistance (1975-2025)”, which commemorates the anniversary of the Graduate Program in Education: Curriculum at PUC-SP. The article highlights the historical role of the first Research Line established by the Program. Over time, it has consolidated itself as a critical core of investigation into the structural issues of public policies, with a focus on the State, curriculum, educational reforms, and democratic practices. It has confronted-and continues to confront-the commodification of education, the advance of neoliberal reforms, curricular standardization, and, more recently, the process of platformization of education. Grounded in the Freirean legacy, the Research Line reaffirms education as an emancipatory practice, advocating for teacher autonomy, social justice, and a critical curriculum. Its current agenda involves strengthening research networks, analyzing contemporary policies, and proposing alternatives that preserve the public, democratic, and humanizing character of education.
