The research is of a qualitative nature and had as subjects of research 24 teachers student of the PIBID/Mathematics of studied University. The data were organized and interpreted from the methodological procedures of the Content Analysis from which it was possible to identify five categories that characterize the difficulties encountered in the first experiences of the teachers student in the PIBID context. As a result, our data reveal that the difficulties encountered by the student teachers had different slopes: those identified from the relation with the students; relating to personal matters; and those related to external issues. These difficulties also enabled teachers student to build some teaching knowledge, as well as reflect on the fact of wanting to be a teacher.
