Bourdieu and the issue of the intellectuals are the focus of this paper, whose concern is to produce a dialogue between the intellectual history and the field theory. It is supported by Pascalian Meditations and The Political Ontology of Martin Heidegger, along with his other productions and the discussions about historiography related to the problem of the intellectuals. It was surveyed these two works to evidence his critique to the scholastic tradition, mainly to the history of philosophy and the history of ideas, and also to highlight the fruitfulness of his sociology of intellectuals and the intellectual history writings. Bourdieu’s analytical movement allows the identification, in Heidegger’s thoughts, of indirect homologies (euphemized) between philosophical problems and political issues, as well as the direct homologies between political interests and elements of the cultural production in writings by intellectuals of intermediate level (mediators and creators), as confirmed by the writings of those disseminating the “völkisch humor”.
