BACKES, José Licínio. Non-hegemonic subjects in Postgraduate courses in Brazil and Portugal: Indigenous, Angolans, Mozambicans and Timorese. Práxis Educativa [online]. 2022, vol.17, e19359.  Epub May 24, 2022. ISSN 1809-4309.  https://doi.org/10.5212/praxeduc.v.17.19359.041.

This paper analyzes knowledges of the curriculum of Postgraduate courses in Education that interest non-hegemonic subjects in Brazil and Portugal. Data were obtained by means of semi-structured interviews with 14 subjects, seven of them were students of a Brazilian university (Indigenous from different ethnicities), and seven were attending a Portuguese university (Angolans, Mozambicans and Timorese). The analysis showed that the non-hegemonic subjects in Brazil attend Postgraduate courses especially to strengthen autochthone knowledges, while non-hegemonic subjects attending Postgraduate courses in Portugal are concerned with building knowledges to meet their professional needs, in articulation with the nation State from which they are.
