Abstract

RIZZO, Tamiris Pereira  and  FONSECA, Alexandre Brasil Carvalho da. From being adrift to the “aquilombamento”: territoriality and production of knowledge by black collectives at UFRJ. Práxis Educativa [online]. 2022, vol.17, e19413.  Epub Aug 27, 2022. ISSN 1809-4309.  https://doi.org/10.5212/praxeduc.v.17.19413.073.

From the intervention of black collectives, in this paper, the dynamics of constitution of places of blackness and the conformation of a black territoriality as a formative matrix at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) is analyzed. Through these places of blackness, three movements that make black subjects are contemplated: they start from being adrift, land next to the quilombo and, finally, accommodate existences and produce knowledge. This matrix gives foundation and grants specificity to the body’s identity, political and aesthetic knowledge that subsidize new knowledge, educational practices and political-pedagogical strategies of black students in undergraduate courses of the Health area. Investigating the conformation of black territorialities can favor the examination of political-pedagogical singularities, educational practices and the types and scope of knowledge produced by the black movement in universities.
