Abstract

VOSS, Dulce Mari da Silva  and  KRAKHECKE, Eliada Mayara Alves. The production of the sexuality device in times of neoconservative avalanche in education: Latin American scientific discursivities. Práxis Educativa [online]. 2023, vol.18, e21384.  Epub July 03, 2023. ISSN 1809-4309.  https://doi.org/10.5212/praxeduc.v.18.21384.036.

This article presents the results of a meta-research of analysis of the theoretical-epistemological perspectives present in Latin American studies that address the theme of sexuality in contemporary education policies. Foucault and Butler’s theorizations support the analyses developed throughout this work. In it, it is perceived that the post-structuralist, dialectical and pluralistic materialist perspectives are the most used in the discussion of neoconservative policies concerning the discourses produced by the School without Party movement and the enunciation called gender ideology that aim to support moral values of Christian families and remove from school curricula the education of bodies, genders and sexualities. It is concluded that Latin-American studies aim to counter neoconservative education policies, as they mobilize a strong criticism of moral standards and political and pedagogical interdictions that affect the interests and rights of dissident sex groups in education.

Keywords : Education policies; Neoconservatism; Sexuality.
