This article presents the steps in the construction of the state of knowledge of a research on the life and transformation narratives of the early grades of Elementary School teachers. To carry out the state of knowledge, the methodologies of Morosini and Fernandes (2014) and Morosini, Nascimento and Nez (2021) were used. From that, a survey was carried out on the research performed on the subject, between 2019 and 2021, in the main repositories of theses and dissertations in Brazil. Seventeen works were analyzed, and it was possible to conclude that there is a lot to explore in the following themes: black and literacy teachers of the early grades of Elementary School from the private network, and research that focuses on the mental health of teachers and on inclusion.
