CASAGRANDE, Rosana de Castro; SILVA, Linderson Rodrigo Gonçalves da  and  MARCONDES, Paulo Cesar. Indicators and records of violence against children and adolescents with disabilities: an overview of the state of Paraná from 2007 to 2024. Práxis Educativa [online]. 2025, vol.20, e24436.  Epub July 16, 2025. ISSN 1809-4309.  https://doi.org/10.5212/praxeduc.v.20.24436.031.

This article aims to present indexes of recorded violence against children and adolescents with disabilities in the State of Paraná, Brazil, from 2007 to 2024. In the theoretical-methodological aspect, it is based on productions in the area and on records of violence against children and adolescents and data from the Center for Analysis, Planning and Statistics (CAPE), of the Public Security Secretariat of the State of Paraná. Through a survey-type research, it is highlighted the progressive increase in the rates of physical, psychological, sexual, patrimonial violence and neglect, in greater proportion against boys with motor (physical) disabilities between the ages of 11 and 17. The need for attention from the public sector is emphasized, through political actions to confront this and specific interventions, especially in the educational field. In addition, it is suggested the inclusion of data regarding crimes against people with intellectual and multiple disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in police reports throughout the country, and it is indicated the need for educational institutions and other related networks to engage in tackling the various types of violence to which children and adolescents are subjected.
