This study aims at carrying out a reflection on the processes involved in teacher learning, trying to understand how he or she transforms theoretical and practical knowledge dealt with in a training course into tools to organize his or her pedagogical work. Based on the socio-cultural constructivist approach, we discuss the co-construction of knowledge by the teacher-apprentice, oriented by three theoretical categories, constructed from the need to give meaning to empirical observations, which are: reflexive exercise; the apprentice’s active role; and the role of the other. It is believed that such information may represent important contributions towards the construction of particular didactic strategies in teacher training, which is considered to be the major contribution of the study.
