The article “On the matter of the dynamics of child character” of Liev Semionovitch Vygotski was published for the first time in 1928, in the review Pedagogy and Education, Rabotnik Prosvechenia Editor in Moscow. Later, it was published in the 5th volume of the Complete Works in 6 volumes in 1983 by the Pedagogika Editor, also in Moscow. In 1995, Prosvechenie Editor reunited in one single book all the works of Vygotski on the defectology and published under the title Fundamentals of the defectology. The present article became one of the chapters in this book. The current publication is the first version of this work of L. S. Vygotski translated from Russian to Portuguese (Zoia Prestes).
