Abstract

CASTRO, Diana de. Methodologies in investigations about the production of narrative texts with children. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2017, vol.23, n.51, pp.290-310. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.2017/lcv23n51.290.

This paper presents a critical review of a variety of methodological proposals used in the research on children's textual production with emphasis on narrative texts. The characteristics of the methodological designs of the studies analyzed in the paper allow us to recognize the distinctive tensions that lead the researcher to assume a position regarding a set of contrasting alternatives to propose a writing activity. After the review, both the methodology of an investigation developed for studying children´s computer-mediated, collaborative creative writing and the analysis of such methodology, will be presented. Therefore, the paper contributes to the reflection about the methodologies utilized in the research on children, textual production, and writing practices within different contexts, among them school settings.
