Abstract

RAMALHO, Henrique Manuel Pereira. The General Council as antinomy of the autonomy regime of the public school. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2020, vol.26, e32060.  Epub Sep 01, 2020. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc.v26.2020.32060.

It analyzes the relationship susceptible to occur between decentralization of educational policy, school autonomy and the formal powers of the General Council, aiming, within the scope of the current school management regime, to interpret the relationship established between the argument of the decentralization of educational policies, the macro discursive insinuations associated with the idea of the autonomy of the public school and the dynamics formally committed to the General Council. This body does not have the prerogative of decentralizing the System, shortening the sense of school autonomy in the possibility of presenting itself with a vocation to interpret and implement what is centrally decided.

Keywords : General Council; Public school; School administration and management; Decentralization of educational policies; School autonomy.
