Abstract

VELOSO, Geisa Magela  and  PAIVA, Aparecida. Social representations of reading: teaching practices and training of children who read. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2020, vol.26, e31903.  Epub Oct 13, 2020. ISSN 1981-0431.  https://doi.org/10.26512/lc.v26.2020.31903.

This article aims to analyze social representations and teaching practices developed in the literature schooling process in the early years of elementary school. The research was carried out with the participation of 94 teachers who, in the data collection process, answered open questions from a questionnaire applied in printed format. The analysis of the teaching discourses showed that the three dimensions of social representations – attitudes, information and image – are anchored in the pleasure of reading and in the functionality of the reading practices developed.

Keywords : Reading representations; Teaching Practices; Children's literature.
