To childhood and children, especially the small/little children, the lockdown and silencing are constantly determined, given their condition as social minority, something that is expanded in a moment of crisis. This happened in the pandemic crisis, children from Italy and Brazil were isolated and, in both places, nurseries and kindergartens were closed. Based on documents and scientific works, the objective of this article is to present a panorama of this moment and differences between the procedures chosen by two countries, considering the Italian Early childhood education and care (ECEC) system and Brazilian early childhood education.
