This article aims to investigate the impacts that the pandemic has been causing in the education of children in the rural area of the municipality of Parintins-AM. Our study is supported, theoretically and methodologically, from the Historical-Cultural perspective, especially in the studies of Lev Vigotski. We analyzed children's perceptions of their lives and their relationship with school in times of pandemic. Radio waves are the accessible technology that enables knowledge to reach students' homes. The lack of teachers and the absence of friends are the main complaints reported by students.
